The Riemann mapping theorem guarantees that there is a conformal map from the unit disk to any simply-connected region in the plane; in the case of a polygon, this map is realized by a Schwarz–Christoffel mapping. This piece shows the image of the unit circle under the mapping to the equilateral triangle.
